New timbe flooring 19 14 or 12mm?
I am currently building a new house and getting ready to lay the timber floor (maybe spotted gum or kauri) . It will be glued (Ultraset) and secret nailed to yellow tongue. I always figured I would use 19mm but many of the flooring places are pushing 14 and 12mm. They say it is more stable but I reckon they stand to make more money...
I intend to trowel the ultraset and have been told this will add 2mm to the height (who cares: they are 3m ceilings . But I still think 19mm will be better. Any thoughts? Also, does anyone lay 19mm flooring any more?
