    Default Adelaide for work

Just love work, another week in Adelaide at Mawson Lakes. Don't mind it apart from the week spent in the motel at Mawson Lakes with nothing to do cept eat, drink and watch telly or browse the net. Just means the week is totally work related with no time to do anything in the shed.
I go over on Monday morning and come back Friday arvo so no time to go check out the wineries etc.

There is travel and work travel, how many others find this to be a hassle to their free time? Would help if there was a separtion allowance so you could at least buy some new tools.

I have to do it a bit too, Benny. Every few weeks I go away for a week to visit industrial clients (and potential clients) in the country areas.

Sure, it's nice to get out of the city. Go for a good drive up the coast or visit some of the regional areas of NSW. Clients that I visit are good too. But as soon as the working day is over you're stuck in another motel away from the family watching bad TV.

It will be even harder the next time I do it as it will be the first time since my daughter was born.

'Spose it's all part of the job.

Looks like I'll have to get used to it. W.A. and New Zealand coming up later this year. Just a pity there is no time to enjoy.

Used to do the same thing with the RAAF. The hardest time is with the new additions to the family, they grow so quick you don't want to miss anything.

No worries, just have to hope the motel doesn't mind the noise and the shavings etc. Might need a hand getting the tablesaws, jointers, thicknessers up the stairs though? Unless we just sit and talk and throw everything on the tab? Can dream up some great projects.

You know it, brother. I spend 18days/10nights away on average. There's only so much studying/reading/drawing/drinking/ you can do before you throw yourself open to self-examination. Since no one knows where that'll lead, it's best avoided. What does that leave?

Yeah I am pretty sure amongst the gang here we can get something happening show you a bit of hospitality.

Just don't let Tikki know she is trouble and will steal all of the arm rests of the chairs in your motel room so she can do Intarsia.

Used to go over there once a month, fly, no such luck, had to bloody drive, and spend two days in Mt Gambier....the exitement was too much, thank god for the hosts at the Silver Birch who would offer some intelligent conversation.
