carbatec 15" thicknesser
G'day all
I'm looking to upgrade to the 15" thicknesser that comes with the 3 , cutter head knives now I know the spiral head is a much better option so I checked the carbatec website and I didnt see if it can be fitted to the 15 " thicknesser if anyone can advise whether it can be fitted to this machine as I would like to do this further down the track ,any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Osage..

You'll find that Carbatec will not supply you with a helical cutter head to fit in a 3 blader.
Have a look here https://www.woodworkforums.com/159685...tec-ctj-381-a/ I did it to my machine back in October 2012 with the cost of the head being $871.00.
I see today, on Carbatec's site a 3 blader is $1,700.00 and their helical is $2,700.00. The economics of the way you want to go just isn't there.Experienced in removing the tree from the furniture

By what I can see online both the H&F and Leda units have the flimsy roller infeed and outfeed tables, me I don't like this setup as I think there is the potential to get fingers caught between the timber and the rollers and there is also the potential to bend the flimsy brackets holding the rollers (have seen the Sherwood brand with this problem). I prefer the solid flat cast iron infeed and outfeed beds like Carbatec and hence probably a little dearer to buy.
