Treating flood damaged timber
I live in Rockhampton the Church offices had about 400mm of water through them so plasterboard is history.
The framing is all partition non load bearing the bottom 400 mm of the studs is soaked as is the bottom plate. What is the best way to treat this problem?
Can it be treated with some chemical to prevent rot and mould and fungal problems or do I have to replace the lower part of each partition frame studs and bottom plate?
I don't have a problem with the removal and replacement because of the no load bearing condition.
