    Default New shed

I'm about to start building my new shed. 12mx 6.5m 2 storey.
Bottom level besser block with piers. top level horizontal stud wall and tin.
I have some windows which are 2.7mx 2.4m so i have to place lintels
across the tops of the windows and doors. The usual method is gal angels.
a friend told me he has seen concrete lintels. Does anyone know where i can get these? i'm in melb so melb places would be best.

    Default Ashphalt driveway

We have decided on an Ashphalt driveway. The sides will be lined with the few hundred bricks we have. The sides I can do. Does anyone have any recommendations or references for someone who will quote the asphalting? It is about 80 sq m

I have a couple of contacts I will try from the Yellow pages also, but there does not appear to be many.

Don't forget to organise the crane truck, concrete lintels will be quite hefty !

    Default shed

I asked the brickie if he wanted me to organise a crane for the 300 Ub's.
i said i can design and build a simple crane gantry to lift the beams in place...a 3m lift. he said, what do they weigh?..i told him they are 300 x 32..so about 200kg.....he said don't worry about it...we will lift them up on ladders.
Anyway i hope to kick off in the next 2 months. I already have the slab done
