    Default Porcelain tile drilling solution

Had my first encounter with porcelain tiles recently  ..........hard as buggery & very nerve racking with the masonry bit, I vowed to never again do this without specialised equipment! I did a bit of research & found this trick piece of gear , ordered one & now feel much more prepared for my next bathroom fixtures fitout. http://www.resimax.com.au/waterguide.htm
I also got a 6mm diamond core bit to use with it, & this will work well with Ramset red plugs that require a 6mm hole. The first thing you do when you open up the box containing the bathroom fixture is throw out the bag containing the fixtures, they're usually crap & I've had nothing but good results using the good old wall plug. Hope this helps someone avoid a headache.

6mm diamond core drill $75, waterguide $25. Compared to a cracked tile, pretty reasonable I reckon!
