    Default Emerald floods

Hope Vern ( TTIT ), has jacked up all that beautiful timber he has stored.
The last flood a couple of years ago got to his driveway, from news reports today seems this one is much worse. If he wasn't so far away I sure would help him, as long as he gets all his tools above flood level, most of the timbers are to dense to float away. all the best Vern. John W.

Has anybody heard from him or the other woodworkers thereabouts?
The last I've heard from him was before Christmas (23rd)

"About 500 people have now evacuated their homes and many more are expected to follow." Floods worsen as Bligh lands in Emerald - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

He's probably been evacuated or is prepping to. Probably why we haven't heard from him.
If anybody does hear from him or other turners in the area I'd be much obliged for the news.

I just spoke to Vern on the phone, he isnt in Emerald at the moment, he's away on holidays.

He said it's looking good for his house and shed at the moment, from reports that he's had from home.
So fingers crossed all will be good.

I also just spoke to my Sisterinlaw in Middlemount, which is not too far from Emerald, they are doing OK out there as well, the shops have all run out of food, but she said they wont starve.

    Thank you Ironwood,
Takes a weight off my mind. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him and the others in the area.

Sure hope everything is ok for Vern. Would hate to see
scavengers picking up wooden eggs from the floodwaters
after all the work he has done over the years.

Let's know any progress as soon as you get home Vern
providing you can get to your computer and have power on.

Floods have been bad around Kyogle apparently and more rain forecast.
    Reality is no background music.
    Cheers John

For those who enquired re "TTIT (Vern) at Emerald I just
noticed that he has responded within
"NOTHING TO DO WITH WOODWORK" - "TTIT flood update".
