Melted Power Point
I noticed a burnt smell when we turned on the kettle in our kitchen, at first I thought the kettle was burnt out so I bought a new one only to realize I was getting the same smell with the new kettle.
I unscrewed the powerpoint as I wondered if the smell was coming from it and of course it was. The Neutral connection was melted around the wires. I have called an electrician to come and have a look at it and change the power point, the wiring is only about 2-3 years old as it was a new kitchen put in a couple of years ago.
Anyone have any idea why this would happen??
