    Question Bevel Mirrors

Have a couple of these old things on hand....is there a business left in SEQ that can restore these? Only place I have learned of so far is Sydney Mirror & Glass.

    Default bevel mirrors

Thanks Ken - will try them out - had noticed this business in passing but not that they might attend to mirrors

are you talking about the actual mirror or the frame that it is mounted in?

    Default re bevel mirrors

    Hi Soundman
It is the spotty reflections that bother me about these. One has no surround, the other sits in a simple 'silky oak' frame that I cleaned up and re coated with Danish Oil some time ago. Tried having a 3rd silky framed mirror updated with contemporary [non bevelled] glass but I don't really like the result appearance-wise.

There are glass companies that will do, beveled and rounded edged glass in basic shapes, but if you have some sort of fancy mirror getting them re-silvered is getting harder to get done.

If the mirror is patchy that is the problem.

    cheers
