    Default Basketball area

Not sure where to post this but I'll try here to begin with. The kids are getting into basketball and have requested a basketball ring in the backyard. Only problem is that the backyard is mostly sloping lawn. I would like to put down a simple base about 3m by 4m for the basketball stand to sit on and also for the ball to land after hitting the basketball ring. Concrete would be the best base I suppose but it wouldn't look right with the rest of the yard and would be too expensive, what are my options?

I would use lilydale toppings after levelling with crushed rocks, It becomes a hard surface but can be dug up if needed without too much effort. Cheaper than concrete and you can do it over a period of time, unlike the concrete.

Thanks, Peter. I had considered the Lilydale Toppings but the kids tell me that it is damaging to the ball.
