Contractions?
Just out of curiosity, is it just my machine, my settings etc which causes the use of any "English" contraction to be underlined as a spelling error?
The underlines do not show up in the actual posting but do appear until the post is submitted.
Is there a way for the forum to "learn" that "can't = can not" , "don't = do not" etc
Regards,
Bob

Thanks David, I am using Firefox on a Mac and in the prefs I have the option to check spelling as I type but can't seem to find any way of customising a dictionary.

I'm not using Firefox a the moment, so I can't remember exactly thte steps, but I have added an Australian dictionary to it. You can also right click on a word that is underlined red, and you get standard spell check options - a list of potential words and options to ignore, add the word to the dictionary etc.
PeterThe other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".
