    Default Drug Names

    In pharmacology, all drugs have a generic name: Tylenol is acetaminophen, Aleve is naproxen, Amoxil is amoxicillin, Advil is ibuprofen, and so on.

    The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra, and announced that it has settled on mycoxafloppin. Also considered were mycoxafailin, mydixadrupin, mydixarizin, mydixadud, dixafix, and of course, ibepokin.

    That is fine. Here in Australia we have the TGA, a group that does a similar job to the FDA.

    Latest development on Viagra:

    Pfizer Corp. announced today that Viagra will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer. It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. Obviously, we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of "cocktails," "highballs," and just a good old-fashioned "stiff drink." Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of "MOUNT & DO."

    I heard somewhere that in the US more money is pumped into Viagra development and breast enhancement, than is spent on Alzhiemer's research. Not surprising really, except that in 20yrs time there'll be hordes of people walking the streets with pert breasts and erections who can't remember what the hell to do with them!

    Hear they've come up with a new men's drug that not only is more effective and cheaper than Viagra, but cures prostate problems as well. It's called Niagara.
