cnc like table saw fence
saw this come up in the social media posts. its pretty much a motorised table saw fence that obvisouly knows where it is.
but it would be VERY convient to just type in a size and it moves there. As mentioned in the videos its has a jog function so if you want to just spit out a heap of 2mm boards you just keep pressing 2 and it'll move over that distance. so not sure if it'll appeal to the up market hobbist or production shops.
kickstarter currently has it at $1259 (US) which is a 26% discount off what the plan to sell it retail. so probably out of reach for alot us home hobbyists but very interesting that this kind of technology is in reach.
Just a moment...

$1200 is very cheap for an automated solution! its very good to see this type of thing coming through to the hobbyist market. I would happily pay double the amount if they can make it a lot more durable.
it looks like it will only function when its new and in a dustless environment?
For production shop the moving parts will need to be protected and needs to be a lot more sturdier.
This is what it looks like on my SCM panel saw with automated fence.. a lot more than whats in the package/video, yes different animal and a lot more money but nothing is cheap with automation that is reliable..
