Question Cost of internal repaint old queenslander

I'm thinking of buying an old queenslander in Maryborough area as an investment - needs a complete repaint inside. Anyone know approx how much should be factored into price to have it done? It is a 2 - 3 bedder. Thanks

    Go easy Oz - its a noob ( no offence R )

or is this how you get post count up

What he really meant to say Robertia was that " How long is a piece of string"

Price will vary considerably dependant on numerous factors, how busy painter is, access, condition of original paintwork, what standard you expect, when you want it done Etc etc.
Maybe ring a couple of locals (give a more accurate idea of size - ii squares, and ceiling height )to get an idea - most shouldnt be too hard to get some idea out of. At least within a grand or so.

we're painting our 2 bedroom queenslander ourselves, cost of paint so far is just over a grand (30 litres of undercoat, wall, ceiling and trim), but it all depends on where you buy it, what brand etc.

If its anything to you we have just repainted a mid-sized 3bed ex commission house. most of it needed to be undercoated. we picked a couple of pretty nice shades and features to hightlight. the whole deal including tape, undercoat, brushes, rollers and el-cheapo drop-sheets came in around $500.

As an investment or rental you'd maybe even pull out a bit cheaper than that.
Like the others said, hard to say but i thought id run our figures for you to play with.

    Default Get some more info

The Archcentre web site for a few clues. They publish a cost guide which I grabbed in 2005 and found pretty useful on my renovation - in some cases the estimates I received were almost to the dollar based on the guide I referred to.

    Good luck
