New to forum
This site is great. I live in Wisconsin, USA. I've been interested in woodworking my whole life and retired recently so I can spend more time in the shop. Here a picture of the workbench I made. The top is black ash and the legs are pine. I like making toys and recycling things. I made some spoon basketball games using bowling alley wood (heart pine). Will take pictures and share soon. I look forward to participating.

G'Day, Welcome "Downunder to the Great South land" to a top forum "monkeysuncle".
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
That's a beaut look bench, thanks for the photo.
Make sure you keep showing off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork and check out the "toymaking section".

Welcome, American!
Yes, mate, you'll enjoy this site. yeah, your bench looks great. You'll probably be asked about the lumbers you get there which we don't here, such as the black ash. I presume your pine is like the radiata or monterey pine that's common here, as there are many plantations, & in fact it's now Australia's most plentiful lumber. Please be aware that when we say "ash" here, it's probably mountain ash or alpine ash, both eucalypts, & there are other names of timbers like that too.
Cheers,
Harper Rod
