Save the Iced Vo-Vo
It's smoko time in the office, and I've just made a cup of steaming Italian Latte, and had (not for the first time) one of those "what ever happened to" moments regarding the Iced Vo-Vo.
I can't say I've ever been a fan, in fact if I had ever bought a pack in the past (which is not admitted) it was only out of concern that the name would be lost forever.
I think we should band together and petition Dick Smith to save the Iced Vo-Vo while he's at it, or is there something else that could have the name adapted to it?
For me, I'm content to refer to any packaged biscuit product as an Iced Vo-Vo, with the exception of the Orange Slice, which deserves a spot of it's own.

Must confess that I haven't even seen an Iced Vo-Vo for a while, much less eaten one.
What have the seppo's done to them?

They're still around, our ankle biters luv them.Unfortunately either my memory is getting worse or they have suffered a cutback in marshmallow allowance.
BTW how many others have called them "iced volvo" on purposeBruce C.
catchy catchphrase needed here, apply in writing to the above .

Well I can't speak for what happens in other states, but the Iced Vo-Vo that I grew up with is a rectangular biscuit (sort of shortbreadish, but not shortbread) with a sort of rasberry jam spread covered in dessicated coconut.
I am aware of the marshmallow biccies but these are NOT the classic Arnott's (now owned by Campbells) Iced Vo-Vo.

You might be right Craig. The classic Iced VoVo had a strip of raspberry jam down the centre with outer strips of pink icing or fondant. The whole thing was sprinkled with dessicated coconut.
I think there was a wannabe that had the same format but replaced the pink icing with pink marshmallow.
What about Honey Jumbles - are they still around?Last edited by doublejay; 17th February 2005 at 02:49 PM. Reason: spelling!!
