Firewood score
Recently took my chain saw chain down to the local saw/mower guy for sharpening.
And there's this pile of logs in his forecourt. Mostly acacia, some euc.
I ask him if he's getting into the business? Nope. He'd asked an arborist whose saws he services to drop off a log for demo purposes. He comes in one morning to find the pile. I ask .... Yep, no worries, take all you want.
This was 5pm on a Friday. 6am next morning I'm there with chainsaw and trailer. Got two loads out and on returning for the 3rd there was a 4by guy dragging a log into the back of his wagon. Cripes. Gotta be quick.
Anyway, the acacia is warming the house very nicely.Cheers, Ern

Good haul DJ. That'll give you a workout with the splitter.
Arthur, there's some nice figure in the acacia.
But it's mostly cracks and wormholes! Makes good firewood.Cheers, Ern
