Fixing a f#*k up
I have made a couple of things out of Banksia nuts and the ones that I finished only with sanding sealer and shellawax have held the shine very nicely. However I bought some burnishing oil (I wouldn't do it again) and replaced the sanding sealer/ shellawax combo with the burnishing oil process but did not get what I was after. So, I tried to gloss it up with shallawax which seemed a very successful solution. The down side is that after three weeks I had lost all remnants of any shellawax polishing not to mention the 1500 grit burnishing oil effort and I'm currently left with a surface that does not look like it has been polished at all.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get some shine to stick to the job.

EEE-Ultra Shine
Oh yeah and don't use shellawax over anything other than EEE. If using over an oil make sure that it is completely dry and I mean completely, at least a couple of weeks, and then don't blame the Shellawax if it doesn't work.
