yellow balau decking
Hi. This is a great forum. It's answered most of my questions about our deck. The is one I have left to find out about. We are putting 50sq mt of kiln dried yellow balau down as decking. It has been delivered in plastic wrapping & hasn't been wet. Can we prepare & oil it on all 4 edges before we put it down or will it still do the leaching thing? Thanks for any replies. Robbie

Sure you can.
I lay mine out on a big tarp in the shed and gave it a couple of coats. If you oil it before you put it down, it will be much easier to clean before you do the final coats after it's down.
