recent outage comment
Just a passing comment, some of you may recall I was perhaps the first to be hit by the recent forum problem.
A thread of mine last Thursday got put to the top of a thread and was dated the 1st January 1970. This seem to be the sme date of the outrage reported yesterday.
Many thanks to all who have given their time in resetting up this forum.

Ruddy poms. We let you play on our forum and you break it  Next you'll be threatening to come out here on holidays or something
Those weird dates were fun weren't they ... until it all ground to a halt. I was on the forum as it happened and I can categorically claim that it wasn't me ... it was Stoppers
Thanks for your efforts Neil and team. Take a beer each out of petty cash.

Well with all due respects to all those that had to panic and get it fixed:
Well done!
and I noticed just the other night, that all the strange inconsistent issues which had been bobbing up for we "no Windows" persons had also been resolved.
Thanks, and keep up the good work!
(Not you )
Cheers,P

Its a bug in Linux the infalable, read here.
A lot of of servers/hosting sites use Linux on their sites, its supposed to be bug/virus proof unlike microsoft.

Dunno where ya got the idea it's infallible or bug/virus-proof from, Al... but compared to Windoze I guess it is.
Hell, it's like that leaning brick wall problem in another thread... in Linux it'd be pulled down and rebuilt, Windoze would just slap on the mud until the problem seems to disappear.
