Halvorsen launch
I have a 1962 built Halvo no longer floating. Cost of restoring just too much so we are reluctantly going to have to dismantle it unless someone would like it for a project. Currently on hardstanding in Yacht Club. Twin Chev engines & gearboxes in good nick. Shafts & props good. Topsides in good condition. Only drama is below water. Rotten planks removed & would now need replacing. Has been scraped back to bare timber. Would need some rib repair & refastening. Was the tender for Gretel.

Now that is a shame. Maybe someone will be able to take it off your hands. Seems a shame to totally dismantle.
Could you post pictures might get someone excited and even in the boat sub forum.

Memories
This posting brought back some fond memories of the 60's but i doubt that it the same Halvorsen that a mate and I hired and cruised the Hawksbury and Pittwater with girlfriends (now my wife of 41 yrs). tried to take a short cut across the front of Danger Is and got stuck, had to wait for the tide to change,
memories,memories.......and no, not interested in a restoration project
Hope that someone helps you out...cheers Kerry
