low profile traps for shower and bath

Before you get yourself into trouble, please tell me Did the spa have a trap directly under it connected to the flex plumdinger ??

Dont know specifics for Queensland but there are space saving traps that are sold with AS standard rating https://www.iplex.com.au/products/do...wv-smart-trap/

it did. the spa was set up at such a height to accommodate it that required two steps to get up into. it was dangerous and one of the kids went head over onto the tiles just after we moved here.

All good, just wanted to make sure you were not fitting an extra trap if there was already a trap under the slab. The traps you show will be fine.

cheers. i kept the old one from the spa bath. it was in the shed. if someone in our family can't find something, its generally "in the shed". in this case, it really was. its a caroma branded one. and, have recently read up on the hazards of double trapping.

I have actually lifted the platform slightly higher to ensure future access isn't compromised. now at 210mm. lower than a normal step so should be fine. that extra 70 mm makes a huge difference to access though.
