Co2 Gas
Is anyone able to tell me what I would pay to have on long term hire a small (by commercial standard) bottle of Co2.
We use a lot of Sodastream, and cost aside just getting the gas refills is a major PITA because of where we live.
I'm thinking I may be able to refill my bottles easier and cheaper myself.

I have an account with Supagas down here in Melbourne, I rent the smallest cylinders which are the ones you usually see on the back of tradies utes.
The cylinder rental is $39.00 a quarter for the CO2, which is called a 10kg CO2 Cylinder.
Interestingly, and I have never noticed this before, the CO2 is a weight measurement, yet my Oxygen and Acetylene bottles are 1.5m3 and 1.0m3 respectively.
I cannot tell you what it costs to fill them as I don't have access to my work computers, suffice to say it won't break the bank.
Mick.
Ps that price includes GST.Last edited by Optimark; 17th July 2011 at 08:51 PM. Reason: Addition
