G'day. I'm just renovating my shower and I'm going to be putting in a drain with tiles (as I've removed the old steel shower pan).

I assume putting the drain in before the waterproofing and tiles is the way to go? So I can work from the drain out for the proper slopes and get it all waterproof? I'm going to be going through a piece of plywood, fibro-cement sheeting. Then I plan to use waterproofing and flexible adhesive for tiomber floors from the same manufacturer prior to tiling.

I was also thinking about getting a large drain. Ideally I thought something the exact same size as the tiles 300x300mm. However, this doesnt seem to be the norm, and such a drain isn't easy to find. I have found a 100x300 mizo in the forums, which is probably the thing I want to use??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

cheers,
