To colour epoxy

I have recently purchased the west system epoxy. I have been told that the best way to colour this is by using oxide. I finally was able to get to the local Bunnings store to see what they had. The smallest container was 750ml of the oxide.

Where can someone purchase a smaller container as I feel that could take me and the next generation before coming close to finishing this amount of oxide.

I am after black.

Try Craft Shops like Spotlight, or maybe an Arts supply shop, or a concreter, they use oxides to color concrete, get a cup full for a stubby
Depends how much you think you'll use, once you start you will be supprised how many things you will end up making.

Hi Christos, I use a drop or two of Feast Watson proof tint in my epoxy, are you talking about using it as glue, as a filler or a coating?

Main reason for the epoxy colour is for a filler.

Do a small test but with the FW proof tint (from Bunnies) you will only need something like one eye droper drop depending on the size of the mix. But test first, sometimes it slows the cure down and you might need a little more hardener or just have to wait longer for it to dry. Comes in lots of colours but I often use straight black.

Pigment powders are on page 11 of the Restoration Hardware catalogue. Depending on colour, about $5 to $9 for a small container, about 125ml, I think.
You can also colour epoxy with universal tints.
