    Thanks for that Grumpy. It makes you realise that all that stuff we see in CIA type movies, where they can zoom in on the zit on your neck from a satellite, is not only very possible, it probably already exists.

    I'm guessing they've used one of the bits of face recognition software to find and blur the faces and the software used by the raod toll companies to find and blur the number plates.
    Faces seem to have only been blurred where they are close enough to the camera to be recognisable.

    Did you read the "how we did it"?
    35,000 images taken to get 9,750 usable ones (a success rate of about 2 from 9)
    800mm lens hence the detail at a distance

    But what I really like is the working web link when you click on an advertising poster
