    Default Tung Oil

I'm attaching a photo to show the use of tung oil on a benchtop for a Forum member. The boxes are 'old work' but they were also done in tung oil- different timer of course. Note reflection. No nicks or scratches after 16+ years.

I'd be interested to know how the finish was applied, e.g. sanded to what grit, method of applying the oil, how many coats, etc.

That's assuming you can remember after all that time......

I've used blended oils with some tung in them, but never pure tung oil. That benchtop of yours looks fantastic

    Cheers

Hello all. Posting this here because I think Tung Oil may be what I'm looking for.
I've got a set of Rose Wood handled kitchen knives and the handles need oiling. I have used linseed before for average results but I'm thinking there must be a better product.
    Any suggestions??? Texmex.
