liquid glass
Hope I am in the right forum.Wonder if anyone has used liquid glass to cover a tiled bench top? What I am tring to do is have a smooth clear finish on a small bench top that is hardwearing (in a bathroom) and scratchprof Be glad to hear any ideas .

If you mean water glass (sodium silicate), I think it's probably too brittle. Epoxy or polyester resin is usually used in this application, although it may need occasional re-polishing.
Does the tile itself have inadequate resistance?
