Ideas on sagging plaster ceiling
Hi Guys
After ideas on repairing a dead plaster ceiling. The usual ornate plaster details with the usual sagging bits, some parts have become soft and very saggy. I don't need to force it up flat, just support it so it doesn't get any worse. I have some ideas of my own but wondered if anyone has any tried and proven method.

It depends a lot on why the ceiling is sagging to what methods are best used to either prevent further sagging or repairing.
It sounds like you have a fibrous plaster ceiling.

Thanks Rod, I'll check it out. It's an 80 year old ceiling with tile roof and no sarking and near the beach. Mosture would be the most likely reason I would imagine. It has probably lasted quite well considering.
