Barry and Allan's job interview

Allan and Barry go for a job interview for the air force. The interviewer asks Barry what he can do that would benefit the air force. "Pilot" says Barry. The interviewer tells Barry to sign some papers and he is in the air force.
The interviewer turns to Allan, "and what can you do to benefit our air force"? he asks allan, "I chop wood" exclaimed Allan proudly.
"We don't need people who chop wood in the air force" said the interviewer. "surely you can do something else that would benefit the air force" Allan thought for a while "no, I just chop wood" said Allan. The guy sighs and says to Allan "sorry we don't need wood choppers in the air force, you can't join up"
Allan is disappointed at this and says to the man, "Well you enrolled my mate Barry so why wont you do the same for me"?
The interviewer sighed again, "Because he is a pilot and we need those in the air force"
Allan is now a bit annoyed when he hears this " Well" he says "my job is more important than Barry's, at home I chop the wood and Barry is just there to... (wait for it)

In a similar vein,
Two guys from a sheltered workshop, first guy gets a job as a Diesel fitter.
Second guy is offended and says, "I make the nickers, all you do is stick em on your head and say these'll fit her".
