Cleaning lime mortar from brickwork
G'day I want to know the best method to clean the remaining lime mortar from brickwork. Ideas? I have removed the lime mortar to expose the bricks around an internal fireplace (about 4sqm). There is still a lime on the brickwork requiring removal. It's internal and therefore I don't want to blast it away with water (gurney). I have been told diluted hydrocloric acid (not sue of ratio) but I don't want it to spill over onto the floorboards or adjacent walls. Cheers
