    Default Sarking question

Help! I have just built a large machinery shed and it is open sided -the question is do I put up sarking to prevent condensation dripping onto vehicles or not? will sarking help prevent this or am I just wasting money?
I have'nt been able to find an answer to this- I am putting the roof on tomorrow so I am rather desperate for an answer and I know there is heaps of knowledge out there.
    Thanks in advance

    hi

I wouldnt put sarking on the roof unless you intend to close the carport in. condensation occurs because of a differential between inside and out - you simply dont have an inside

I was with Lysaght BHP for 11 years and I have seen open Carports drip condensation in the winter time in Ballina in fact this one was where I was living at the time. I have also seen others do it also.

Another point is that if the roof is a dark colour in the middle of summer the heat radiated by a roof without sarking especially in Nimbin can be unbearable if you are doing any work under it.
