can sliding doors close tight?
Hello all,
a question to experts on sliding doors. As I understand, a sliding door (not a cavity one)slides along a wall. So there is a gap between the door and a wall. When the door is closed, the gap is still there, along the edge of the door, isn't it? I wonder if there is any manufacturer out there that makes a different kind of system, some fancy roller mechanism, that allow the door actually close tight without a gap. I fancy something you see on some trains in Sydney - the doors, after the sliding movement is finished, actually move towards the opening and close the gap. Or do I ask for too much? Should I go and live on a train perhaps...
