    Default router for leigh jig

Greetings- I have purchased a Leigh dovetail jig, and need a router .
I would appreciate advice on the most suitable.
I have looked at the de walt 621 and Triton 2 1/4
I see an advantage with a fixed base router, but this limits use, especially if I wish to use under a table.
    thanks

I would go for the lighter one. I have a Leigh jig and use a Triton MOF001 (2 1/4hp). I find it is a little easier to move it around the fingers etc. than my heavier TRA001 which I use in my table.

    Default leigh jig

thanks- I was leaning that way. Do you use it in a router table?

I use the larger one in the table however, I have heard that a few people have used it that way. It has all the features for under table use but may be a little under powered for some of the more heavy duty work. I suppose it would come down to what you will use it mostly for, handheld or router table work. If it helps at all, I bought the bigger one first and then saved up for the smaller one when I got sick of mounting and unmounting the unit from the table.

    Hope that helps.

+1 for the MOF001 and the Leigh jig.
I got the router support with my Leigh and it makes things way much easier.

+1 for the router support too! In fact, I have never used the jig without one. I can only imagine how unstable that would be.
