Thumbs up Service, Second to none!

Myself and young Redback headed on a southern oddyssy to collect timber this morning in Perth.

It started in Mandurah, where we called on the gigantic Corb's to be rewarded with some lovely campher. Thanks Corb's.

But the main reason for our Trek was to call on the wonderful Mike and Sandra of Misan Timbers in Lake Clifton.

Once there, we where presented with a treasure trove of stunning timbers, both local and imported, mainly from Tassie and NSW.

I would highly recommend them to any WA woodies who are after some great timber and prices to match. They can be found at:

    Misan Timbers
    4 Teakwood Close
    Lake Clifton WA
    9739 1985
    [email protected]

From the highway, turn left into Tuart Grove, which is the second left after the Lake Clifton Tavern. Then first right into Peppermint Ave, and first left into Teakwood Close. They are the second house on the left.

Give them a call before you go, to make sure they are in. And if you ask really nicely, Mike may give you a try of his apparently world famous Chilli jam.

I just found this one. "Gigantic Corbs" thats me ... come on Gazaly... fess up... how long did it take you and Redback to get past the Lake Clifton Tavern?? . If I still have a bit of the Jarrah left when I go east do you want it? I will take some with me but I wont be able to use it all and I wont be doing much/any woodworking next year due to sea posting. This navy thing would be great if we didnt have all those damn ships .

Tell me about it. If is wasn't for the sailors, my job would be a hell of alot easier!

As for the jarrah, I'm sure Redback and I could deal with it. Anyone else who wanted some would be more than welcome!

Any of ya tools ya don't want to take?

    Thanks Corbs.

Wild Dingo... we are driving out on 10 Dec. I have a bit of jarrah left but if you're dropping in hoping for some camphor forget it... gazaly and redback cleaned me out . It was only left overs from the blanket box that I made anyway. Let us know when you are in the area and I will see if I can temper your opinion of forumites . We got an offer on our house today too so corbs is a happy chappy .

Take em up on the offer . Might have to take a rain check on the visit for Friday though, some of us have to work for a living (standing by for comment from Gazaly). Would be interested in the get together though if it fits in with my other hectic schedule (sometimes she lets me know in advance )
