Default Teak Deck finish - Danish oil?

Hey guys, a mate of mine has a nice big boat with a teak deck.
I made some boards (for seats) up a while ago using teak and finished them in Organoil - Danish Oil.
He asked me if this would be suitable to finish his deck with aswell, i was leaning towards tung oil but thought you guys would have a better idea
Would a different oil be able to be applied over the top of the Danish oil?
    Cheers for any help guys

Danish oil has polyurethane in it. This would act as a sealer and stop the tung oil penetrating properly.
With tung oil it is important to reach a high level of saturation using thin coats. As apprentices, we were told "One coat every day for a week, one coat every week for a month, one coat every month for a year and then every birthday."

I've heard the same as Rustynail, and I agree that to get the finish to provide the protection needed is not a one coat job.

However we have a oil formulation called teak Oil for garden furniture made from teak or one of it's cousins. It's brilliant against the weather but not so sure how it would stand up-to salt water battering it.

Might be worth an explore though.
