clock making
I've never made clock before and after getting hold of a jarrah burl slice, my partner has put in her order. She doesn't want anything that looks like it came out of the souvenir shop- ie no natural edge and no Rustins plastic coating type finish. This creates a couple of problems in the glue / finish area.
How do I attach the numbers? They are the stick on or glue on type.
Which finish do I use to show off the burl features but which won't affect the way the numbers attach?
Please feel free to comment on the filling of cracks and voids. None are more than 5mm across in this slice.
I'm not set up for spraying.
Any suggestions?Graeme
