    Default Samco combination machine.

Hey guys. Has anyone had any experience with Samco combination machines? I found some info saying they made minimax and are part of SCM. I'm assuming they're pretty good for an older machine. But I've never seen until this one came up. It's bloody cheap! $1500. And finance is a cruel factor for me unfortunately, as is space. I also found a Casadei 260 for $2800 and I know they are a good company. I'm just wondering if its worth saving a grand I can put towards a band saw. I realise its a bit like asking what are Holdens like, but this machine is completely unknown to me. I'm sure it's a 260 model. (26) like the minimax. I'll do some proper inspection of it tomorrow, I'm just seeking some guidance.
    Any takers?

    Default Re Samco.

Hi. I have a Samco combination under and over. Mine is a 300mm machine. I bought this a while ago and have found it a good solid and robust machine. Yes these were made by SCM in Italy. Mine is no frills but works extremely well, and for the home hobbyist that I am is doing the job well. The only down side is that there are no adaptors for connection to my dust collection system. This is a minor inconvenience that in time I will sort out. I would have loved to be able to spend as much as I would want, but finance is a factor for me.
