Decking timber screwed to satandard TP stud?
I have a concreted area around the pool and am building a patio/deck combo.
Can I dynabolt standard treated pine stud (on edge) to the existing concrete and then the decking straight on this?
Of course it will all be wedged up level etc before bolting right down. I'm also thinking to pack it up a little anyway to keep any underlying water soaking in.(also dabs of liquid nail to the wedges to stop movement)
The way I see it if the rafters are sitting directly onto a load bearing sub base then the only criteria for rafter size would be how high the deck needs to be off the concrete?
