problems with buying 100 year old house
Hello Everyone,
My name is Kris,
I have been looking at buying a house that is 100 y/o weatherboard in need of some new cladding due to rot, it is on pylons, has a rubbish laundry that is seperate from the house that may have some minor structural issues, it is completely renovated internally new kitchen, new bathroom, has sash windows with ropes that were painted making it impossible to open.
my question is what are the important structural issues in regards to pylons and are they expensive/difficult to fix. I am yet to do a building inspection. This is my first time doing so, has anyone got any advice in regards to anyone of these issues i.e building report, cladding, asbestos pylons & structural integrity. espeacially what i should expect from a building report and pest inspection report.
