Splashback tiling - upside-down glue?
Anyone heard of upside-down glue used for tiling?
The tiler wants to do the kitchen splashback tiling with upside-down glue instead of the normal plaster. Reason - it is quicker for him to get the job done.
Is it as good as normal tiling plaster? I don't mind if it takes a little longer to do, as long as it is a good job. Well he called it upside-down glue so if anyone has heard of this can you let me know what it is like and if I should let the tiler do a quicker job using it.
thanks.

sounds like a euphemism for stronger glue to me. el cheapo tiling adhesive take a while to set and requires holding the bottom row on while tiling, but a good adhesive will hold tiles (assuming their not 7 or 8 kilo each) almost straight away against gravity - my guess, is he wants $50 a bag/pail stuff, not $20 a bag basic cheapest and adequate adhesive.
