Am going to be starting the framing for a small granny flat at the back of the house, about 50m2 and am have a question I can figure out.

If I places a 90 x45 stud on the floor on its EDGE!

There are 2 bows that a stud can have, up and down and sideways.

1. For sideways is it best to have the bows pointing towards the outside of the wall?

2. For up and down is it best to have the bow facing outside (exterior cladding) or inside (Gib)

I am thinking for up and down bow to have the bow facing outside as the exterior cladding has a 25mm cavity batten on the outside, so the batten might cover some of the bow.

Sorry if my bow descriptions dont make sense!
