    Default Decent Quality Masks

Anyone recommend a decent quality face shield.
I'm facing the prospect of wearing glasses full time, prescription safeties would be nice but I only get a lousy $100 PPE allowance for work.

I'm thinking a face shield is the way to go, but it needs to be a decent one and will be used for both wood and metal work.
    Cheers

Any of the various safety equipment suppliers would have approved face shields

What I would like to get since I have to wear ear muffs anyway is one like the gardeners use with ear muffs built in.

A hundred dollars wont go far towards a good one unfortunately. Face masks have to comply with Australian safety standards.
    Reality is no background music.

Look to ordering overseas. Usually MUCH, MUCH cheaper. However stick with well known brands like 3M etc..

I recently bought a 3M half face mask respirator with 2xP100 filters for $50 delivered (shops locally were looking at $100). Took a week to get to me which is decent speed. I used eBay Australia Shop - 3M 8210: N95 RESPIRATOR, N95 MASK, 3M RESPIRATORS without a problem. He seems to specialise in safety gear so no doubt will have a range of things you are probably interested in and questions are quickly answered.

Better value heading this way than heading off to Bunnings or the like. 3M have pretty much a filter for any situation unlike the masks Bunnings sell. I know you aren't interested in a respirator but the principle (price savings) still apply. $100 may not go a long way when buying locally but it will going online and buying overseas even with delivery.
