    A mate of mine who helped a farm remove ferrel pests from his property said that you could walk outside with a broom,
    holding it up like a rifle and the crows won't move, BUT as soon as you walks out of the shed with the actual rifle, the crows were gone.....

    They even know how to get into the kids lunch boxes at school.
    I've seen it done many a time.

    I've had the same experience as Crowie's mate.
    Also when we had geese they'd work in pairs. One would entice the goose off the eggs while the other would sneak up, stick its beak in an egg and fly off with it. I assume it opened its beak to stop the eggs slipping off.
