    Default Experience with concrete sleepers

    Hi all,

Was looking at putting in a raised garden bed of railway sleepers and was wondering if anyone had any experience or advice with these things.

    Thanks!!

Yeah I noticed them in my local paper the other day too. They sound heavy to work with and you can't just trim to size.

    Not sure what others think?

Best have a look at them before you decide. Often they're prestressed (several strands), have a somewhat irregular shape (lengthwise), and have embedded oddments for fixing the rails. Such features may or may not be appropriate to your use. And no, you can't cut them conveniently.

    Default Looks good

The ozlogs look good, thanks for the site. Pretty expensive compared to wood but I do like the fact they look like untreated sleepers with character, which normally wouldn't be a good choice for landscaping due to pests and rot.
