waterlox in OZ?
Anyone know if waterlox is available in OZ? Anybody know if waterlox is just a tungoil / polyurethane mix? I am after a durable finish on redgum stringy bark table tops etc.
Have seen the tung oil, linseed oil, polyurethane mixes you can do yourself [the maloof mix] however not sure it would be durable enough for table tops. Some advice would be great Cheers PS. Iam after a finsh that I can wipe on

waterlox
Hey old picker,
Thanks for your reply, I have started using a wiping varnish over the last week or so about a 50/50 mix 50% gloss cabots floor poly and 50% turps seems to go on ok, however I still will need to cut it back with probably a 1200 wet dry paper..any suggestions for what to put over top once cut back have tried gillys cabinetmakers wax with 0000 steel wool but wasnt happy with the finish seemed to give small scratches. I am thinking I will try cutting back with 1200 paper then wax over with a cloth instead. Have heard that some use car polish? not sure which you would use? Have also seen the u beaut EEE ultra shine wich is a polish sounds good but havent tried might give it a go. Thanks again for your reply.
