Virus protection bargains !
No it's not spam, it's only me
Since we have been discussing virus and intrusion protection for your PC ad we all put our 2 cents worth in, I found out that you can get PC cillin online through ebay for about $25 (after I'd paid $69 in shop of course)
Anyway, I checked through the list and have just purchased a 5 Licence version of PC cillin for $80 ! That's $16 each copy. It's an online version whic needs to be downloaded and the guy emails the Registration codes to you. The download comes from Trend Micro direct. I've just finished loading and registering the first copy for work and it's all fine with a subscription for 12 months.
So if any of you want cheap Virus protection with a firewall and spam filter etc, check this out. Maybe 5 of you could get together and order it like I did. That's so cheap it's too good to miss. Even cheaper than paying for another 12 months if yours is about to expire.
Just thought it was worth passing on.
(usual disclaimer - I don't even know the man) - want me to put that in 3 times?:eek:If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Is it too much sunshine ? Or maybe a bit of flying debris hit you on the head during the last Qld cyclone?

Where was I reading the other day (ZDnet?? SMH???) that the bigger the name of the anti-virus, the less effective it is.
Apparently the really nasty virus writers specifically test their creations against the most popular AV software. The stats quoted said that 80% of recent malware just waltzes past the top 5 AV software.
The best AV against recent threats were the ones which had less than 10% market share - freebies, and Russian students efforts I think...
Cheers,
Andrew
