Curtain tracks
Just need a couple of sets, SWMBO always swans in with the terrible expanding variety which always seem to collapse after a while or the big wooden rods which sag after a few months.
I want something decent that will NOT fall apart after a year or so.

Iain, we just went through the same thing while renovating and I pulled down the original tracks which were those stupid expanding type. At the home show, we saw some from a supplier and have just put them up. You need to make pelmets but that's pretty easy using skirting boards.
It's called easy-track and distributed by C and T Manufacturing in Melton. (They deliver for about $20). phone 9746 8346 and talk to Carol. Very helpful lady.
Check them out here : http://www.candtmanufacturing.com.au/If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

I've bought them direct from a curtain place before. They seemed to have the best range. The rail comes in a variety of lengths - but easy to cut down with a hacksaw.
