Just came back from a trip to Darwin , Kakadu, litchfield and Nitmaluk. This is a trip that should be compulsory for all Australians!!

We took a Safari trip in a four wheel drive Isuzu truck with a bus type set up on the chassis. Good capable vehicle and very safe for river crossing.

We arrived at the crossing over the South Alligator River into twin falls where several other vehicles had pulled up to survey the scene. One couple in a hired Subaru had no chance of crossing so another couple generously offered them a lift in their Prado. All fine and dandy.

These people were following us across the ford when we noticed that there was a child sitting on the roof!!!

One bad bump, the Prado tipping or some other mishap and this kid would have been crocodile food!!

ya need to get your logic right.

Crocs goes after kid, gives parents time to escape vehicle and organise a rescue.

If parents are on the roof, they get eaten and then the kid, no-one gets saved (and I don't think the kid can drive anyway)
