recycled flooring - oil stain thru 2 pack - help
brand new to this excellent forum. We have just built a home and elected to have a recycled brushbox floor installed and 2 packed. There's one 6" x 1" area where an oil stained or similar stain has noticeably bled thru the polyurethane and feels raw. The polyurethane did not take at all. The guy that did the floor denies any responsibility. If this problem can be rectified we would like to give it a go.
Any suggestions very welcomed.

Is this problem over a couple of boards, or is it isolated to just one board?
Any chance of a photo of the problem?
